That is what we do. Our virtualization journey is pushing the boundaries of accelerating and offloading OVS functionality from (server) host CPU to FPGA powered SmartNIC. This frees up host resources (CPU cores) that customers can use for other applications and thereby decreasing server need.As our new SW Development Engineer, you will join an innovative and forward moving company. Napatech’s SmartNIC technology platform is based on advanced in-house developed HW, SW and FPGA IP created by our ambitious and skilled R&D engineers.Join a team of SW experts The SW team consist of 14 highly skilled individuals working closely together with our HW, FPGA and SYSTEST departments as well as our product architects in agile Kanban driven projects.The team also assist Sales Engineers, Technical Support Engineers and if needed the customer directly in debugging and resolving technical product issues.You will experience a huge curiosity for emerging technologies, and a team that speaks their mind when there is room for innovation or sees new ways around challenges.What you will doYou will participate in development projects with other members of R&D, designing and developing robust and high performant software for accelerated and offloaded features in FPGA on Napatech SmartNIC’s and implementing support for open-source features in kernel, DPDK and OVS.You will be part of the journey from idea to final release, from creating prototypes to feature implementation and implementation of automatic verification. SW Development Engineers in Napatech are deeply involved in the system foundation upon which the features are implemented.Who are youYou have 5 years of experience from datacom or the telecom industry and have a background as Software Engineer. At Napatech we work with Linux software and program in C/C++.
